When creating a custom treatment dose in your study you have the ability to select the relevant units for the dose and volume, and whether these are required or not at the point of administering this dose.

The fields for Dose and Volume are optional when creating a custom dose as they are for record purposes with no calculations to be applied using these. Therefore, a user can create a treatment without any value in either or both of these fields. In the case that the field is left empty and the correct unit is selected, the user will be able to enter a value for this at the point of dosing for each individual animal.

If the check boxes below are ticked the user MUST enter a value to be able to administer a dose whereas, if these are not ticked the treatment can be administered without any value recorded for dose or volume.
